This monitor barn residence was envisioned by the owners before finding the property in rural Hunt County, outside of Dallas, TX. The design captured the lifestyle of the owners and took advantage of natural breezes and views of the private pond. It is a home with many unique details allowing for multiple ways to inhabit the house while being conservative with overall square footage. A two-story screen porch, facing the pond, provides a seamless transition to the exterior. Many of the fixtures throughout the house utilized antiques and found objects collected by the owners. The detached garage with full kennel facilities and a workroom was designed in the same style and nestled into the tree line alongside the main house.
