This single family residence’s design was inspired by the Homeowner’s interest in the Prairie Style epitomized by Frank Lloyd Wright’s homes in Oak Park, Illinois. This style is characterized by offset massing, varied roof heights, horizontal stone banding of brick veneer and low sloped roof. The interior has large rooms and an open plan, daylight by large Craftsman style windows. The large overhang at the second floor becomes an important design element, accented by the use of copper stipping.
